Athens, 20 September: Olympic Air,
the new flag carrier airline of Greece, selected
Aerobytes and AQD, the world’s leading software products for
integrated Safety and Quality Management in advance of its
first flight on 1 October, 2009.
“I am delighted to be able to say
that, even at its launch, Olympic Air will be one of only 4
airlines globally with a fully integrated QSMS linking its
Quality Management System, SMS and FDM seamlessly”, said
Capt. Georgios Mitselos, Quality Manager at Olympic Air.
“This underlines Olympic Air’s determination to pick the
best practice systems and procedures from around the world
in order to ensure that our commitment to Quality, Safety
and Comfort will establish the highest possible level of
reliability and effectiveness towards both, our customers
and employees from the very beginning of our operations”.
Aerobytes delivers something unique in the world of Flight
Data Monitoring (FDM) – a very powerful and flexible system
that is also easy to use. Our users require no programming
experience and the complete quality assurance process is
catered for. Aerobytes FDM not only analyses and trends data
but also includes advanced features such as integrated 3D
animation, drill down and automatic EHM export.
AQD is the world’s leading Aviation Safety and Risk
Management software solution used by 92 airlines globally
from international flag carriers and low cost carriers,
through to helicopter operations and ground handlers. AQD
covers all functions from accident/incident reporting,
analysis, investigation, risk management, compliance,
auditing and corrective action tracking. It has been
developed by aviation software specialists and is backed by
over 20 years' experience in delivering aviation software
solutions to regulatory authorities, airlines and other
aviation related organisations.
The benefit from integrating AQD and
Aerobytes is that flight data is available for analysis in
association with an occurrence report entered in AQD, and
for flight data events detected by Aerobytes an occurrence
report can be automatically created in AQD and managed as
part of the standard AQD process. Any association of flight
events and operational safety information is managed under
strict user and security control. The combined result not
only allows users to extract information that previously
appeared unconnected but provides much more efficient
working practices.
Olympic Air is one of a growing number of airlines taking
advantage of the extensive benefits of linking Flight Data
with Quality, Safety and Risk information in one integrated
solution, providing transparency across safety reporting,
analysis and action management.
